Purchases are be made via the WMCA’s website (operated by Neon One/Arts People), in person at 205 20th street during posted box office hours or by calling Westman Box Office during posted box office hours. All patrons entering the theatre must have a ticket. Most events are assigned seating. Patrons are NOT allowed to sit or stand on the stairs under any circumstances. Aisles should be always kept clear. Ushering staff are available to assist with storing walkers, etc. outside of the concert hall.

WMCA strives to provide entertainment for all ages and exists for the enjoyment of the citizens of Westman. WMCA does not condone unaccompanied minors and assumes no responsibility for minors left unattended.

Babe in arms: All patrons entering the theatre must have a ticket. Standard venue policy is no babes-in-arms. At shows designated for family or children, babes-in-arms may be permitted at the discretion of the event promoter. Babes-in-arms are children 12 months of age or younger who will not occupy an additional seat. Some events require all patrons, regardless of age, to have a ticket. Others may restrict attendance to a minimum age. If you have questions, please contact the venue.

Orphan seating: Our settings are so to prevent customers from leaving a single empty seat between chosen/occupied seats. There is some flexibility in this when a show is close to sold out. If you have questions or need assistance completing a purchase, please contact the box office.

Ticket Fees: The WMCA adheres to all-in advertised pricing that includes all fees and taxes. Ticket prices are set by the promoter and may vary depending on the show.

  • The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium (WMCA) reserves the right to refuse refunds for any ticket purchase. WMCA will only refund tickets in the event of a show cancellation or postponement. Tickets may be exchanged for an alternate date for the same production, pending availability.

  • The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium is committed to creating positive experiences in a space that is welcoming, respectful, and healthy for everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, socioeconomic standing, ethnicity, skin colour, religious belief, ability, or any other personal characteristic. We value kindness, consent, and safety for all, and by all – free from negativity and harm.

A safer space is a supportive, non-threatening environment that encourages open-mindedness, respect, a willingness to learn from others, as well as physical and mental safety. The term “safer” supports an intersectional approach to the term “safe”, acknowledging that what is “safe” shifts depending on an individual’s attitudes, identities, and opinions.

Discrimination, violence, harassment, bullying, disorderly conduct, and other unwelcome behaviour are not tolerated. We will take whatever steps are reasonable in the circumstances to protect those in our spaces. Everyone is expected to uphold this policy and to work together to create and maintain safer spaces. Spaces, whether physical or virtual, can include but are not limited to offices, stage, dressing rooms, shop spaces, and social media platforms.

REPORTING: Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time if you feel unsafe or notice other persons who feels or is being made to feel unsafe. You can contact or report to us by speaking on site to a WMCA staff member, emailing management at gm@wmca.ca or by writing an anonymous letter (we have a mail slot on the front outside doors it can be dropped off through, please label the envelope or letter ATTN WMCA MANAGEMENT). If need be, we will contact law enforcement, seek out security, provide an escort, call a taxi, or assist you in any other way circumstantially reasonable. Any in-person conversations are held in confidence. Any reports will be handled privately and will be acted upon with your safety first of mind. Anonymous reports cannot be followed up on directly, however, they help inform our policies and provide documentation for future conflicts. We will fully investigate and take all anonymous reports seriously. In no way should you ever feel bad or guilty for reporting an incident. This policy exists for you and for fostering a safe inclusive space which everyone can enjoy.

In addition to this policy, Manitoba’s Workplace Safety and Health Act, Human Rights Code, and/or the Criminal Code of Canada may apply in respect to factors or conduct that create unsafe spaces. Thank you for your contribution to ensuring our venue is a safe space for all of us.

  • Cameras, video cameras and audio recording devices are not permitted inside the theatre. Cell phone cameras may be permitted during some performances at the promoters’ discretion. Consistent photography or recording of any kind is never permitted. Professional media must seek approval of manager and/or promoter before photographing any events at the WMCA.

These policies are established to make your experience a positive one. Your courtesy and cooperation help to ensure comfort and enjoyment for all our guests. Venue management and event promoters reserve the right to evict any patron for violation of any event or venue policy. Repeated violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the WMCA.

The Board of Governors occasionally reviews the WMCA’s policies and reserves the right to change these policies as it sees fit any time. We will alert you of any changes that may have been made by indicating the date that the policy was last reviewed. If you have questions, concerns, or comments about our policies, please contact us.
